retail logistics<\/b> challenge, requiring seamless synchronization between intercontinental transport (ocean and air), complex customs clearance, and last-mile distribution management in Milan&#8217;s historic city center.<\/p><h4 data-path-to-node=\"9\">\ud83d\udef3\ufe0f International Shipping &amp; Supply Chain Management<\/h4><p data-path-to-node=\"10\">To ensure that all furniture components, display units, and store fitting materials reached their destination on schedule without delaying construction, international shipments were planned with a strategic advance buffer of approximately three weeks:<\/p><ul data-path-to-node=\"11\"><li><p data-path-to-node=\"11,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"11,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Ocean Freight:<\/b> Importation of 5 full container loads (4 shipped from the Port of Shanghai, China, and 1 from the Port of Yokohama, Japan).<\/p><\/li><li><p data-path-to-node=\"11,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"11,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Air Freight:<\/b> Urgent air shipment from Xiamen (China) for high-priority materials.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><h4 data-path-to-node=\"13\">Customs Procedures &amp; T1 Transit Management<\/h4><p data-path-to-node=\"14\">Upon arrival at the Port of Genoa, the containers were transferred under customs bond (<b data-path-to-node=\"14\" data-index-in-node=\"87\">T1 transit procedure<\/b>) to our bonded warehouse in Milan.<\/p><p data-path-to-node=\"15\">At our facility, we handled:<\/p><ol start=\"1\" data-path-to-node=\"16\"><li><p data-path-to-node=\"16,0,0\">De-consolidation and cargo inspection.<\/p><\/li><li><p data-path-to-node=\"16,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"16,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Final import customs clearance<\/b> procedures.<\/p><\/li><li><p data-path-to-node=\"16,2,0\">Palletization, labeling, and secure storage until the final installation phase.<\/p><\/li><\/ol><h4 data-path-to-node=\"18\">Last-Mile Logistics &amp; Traffic Permits (ZTL) in Downtown Milan<\/h4><p data-path-to-node=\"19\">Delivering materials to the Piazza Cordusio site required meticulous <b data-path-to-node=\"19\" data-index-in-node=\"69\">urban logistics (Last-Mile)<\/b> planning due to strict heavy-vehicle restrictions in central Milan.<\/p><p data-path-to-node=\"20\">To overcome these operational hurdles, Asian Logistics:<\/p><ul data-path-to-node=\"21\"><li><p data-path-to-node=\"21,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"21,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">De-consolidated the cargo<\/b>, transferring goods from sea containers to low-emission vans suitable for urban roads.<\/p><\/li><li><p data-path-to-node=\"21,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"21,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Liaised with the Milan Local Police<\/b> to secure special driving and parking permits for restricted traffic zones (ZTL) and pedestrian areas.<\/p><\/li><li><p data-path-to-node=\"21,2,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"21,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Set up a dedicated unloading area<\/b> adjacent to the building, managing temporary street signage to avoid disrupting city traffic during the installation week.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><h4 data-path-to-node=\"23\">Shopfitting Services &amp; Assembly Support<\/h4><p data-path-to-node=\"24\">Beyond freight forwarding and customs, our intervention played an active role in the physical setup of the store:<\/p><ul data-path-to-node=\"25\"><li><p data-path-to-node=\"25,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"25,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Staff Training:<\/b> We organized specialized training for handling personnel alongside our Japanese partner.<\/p><\/li><li><p data-path-to-node=\"25,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"25,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Workforce Management:<\/b> We provided a specialized operational team of cargo technicians, working together with a dedicated 10-person crew sent by our partner&#8217;s French branch.<\/p><\/li><li><p data-path-to-node=\"25,2,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"25,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Unpacking &amp;
