{"id":53000,"date":"2023-07-10T16:22:12","date_gmt":"2023-07-10T14:22:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test.caribe.me\/ala\/eu-new-zealand-free-trade-agreement\/"},"modified":"2025-09-06T18:02:49","modified_gmt":"2025-09-06T16:02:49","slug":"eu-new-zealand-free-trade-agreement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asianlogistics.net\/en\/eu-new-zealand-free-trade-agreement\/","title":{"rendered":"EU-New Zealand free trade agreement"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>International shipments Italy New Zealand ready to take off!<\/h3>\n<p>On 09 July 2023, after 5 years of negotiations, the EU and New Zealand have today signed their free trade agreement (FTA), which will deliver significant gains for the EU.<\/p>\n<p>The FTA will liberalise and facilitate trade and investment, as well as promote a closer economic relationship, which will open significant economic opportunities for companies and consumers on both sides.<\/p>\n<p>The EU is New Zealand&#8217;s third-biggest trade partner. Bilateral trade in goods between the two partners has risen steadily in recent years, reaching almost \u20ac9,1bn in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Once the agreement enters into force, bilateral trade is expected to grow by up to 30% thanks to this deal, with EU annual exports potentially growing by up to \u20ac4.5 billion. EU investment into New Zealand has a potential to grow by up to 80%. The deal can cut some \u20ac140 million a year in duties for EU companies from the first year of application.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement, once in place, will:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"style--03\">\n<li>eliminate all tariffs on key EU exports to New Zealand such as pigmeat, wine and sparkling wine, chocolate, sugar confectionary and biscuits<\/li>\n<li>open New Zealand\u2019s services market in key sectors such as financial services, telecommunications, maritime transport and delivery services<\/li>\n<li>ensure non-discriminatory treatment to EU investors in New Zealand and vice versa<\/li>\n<li>improve access for EU companies to New Zealand government procurement contracts for goods, services, works and works concessions<\/li>\n<li>protect close to 2000 EU wines and spirits such as Prosecco, Polish Vodka, Rioja, Champagne and Tokaji<\/li>\n<li>protect 163 of the most renowned traditional EU products (Geographical Indications), such as Asiago, Feta, Comt\u00e9 or Queso Manchego cheeses, Istarski pr\u0161ut ham, L\u00fcbecker Marzipan or Elia Kalamatas olives<\/li>\n<li>help small businesses export more through a dedicated chapter on small and medium enterprises<\/li>\n<li>reduce\u00a0compliance requirement and procedures\u00a0to allow for quicker flow of goods<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Know more from official website <a href=\"https:\/\/policy.trade.ec.europa.eu\/eu-trade-relationships-country-and-region\/countries-and-regions\/new-zealand\/eu-new-zealand-agreement_en\">https:\/\/policy.trade.ec.europa.eu\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Contact us for your international shipments connecting Italy\/European Union &#8211; New Zealand!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>International shipments Italy New Zealand ready to take off!
