The Indian <strong>Ministry of Heavy Industries (MoHI)<\/strong> has introduced the <strong>Omnibus Technical Regulation (OTR)<\/strong> for the safety of these products, which will become effective on <strong>August 28, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"7:1-7:340\">The OTR mandates that approximately 20 categories of machinery and electrical equipment, including their components, will require <strong>mandatory certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS)<\/strong>.
