List of Chinese Goods Under EU Surveillance

Below is the updated list of Chinese-origin goods under surveillance and the new measures effective within the EU as of February 2026.

Ceramic and Porcelain Tableware (EU Entry)

Anti-dumping restrictions for the tableware and kitchenware sector have been confirmed and strengthened by the EU to prevent circumvention.

79.7% (residual rate) for all other Chinese exporters.

Scope: Ceramic tableware or kitchenware (plates, cups, bowls; excluding cutlery and grinders) imported into the EU.

EU Reference: Regulation (EU) 2026/274 (Effective: Feb 7, 2026).

Duty Rates: * 17.9% for listed cooperating exporters.

Steel Cylinders and Gas Bottles

The EU has implemented a new crackdown on high-pressure steel products for the industrial and medical sectors.

Operational Note: Importers must specify the actual manufacturer to avoid the automatic application of the maximum EU rate.

Scope: Seamless steel cylinders for compressed or liquefied gas.

EU Reference: Regulation (EU) 2026/244 (Effective: Feb 4, 2026).

Duty Rates: Range between 57.7% and 90.3%.

Chemical Sector & Additives (L-Valine)

Definitive EU anti-dumping measures are now applied to high-purity Valine.

Duty Rates: Range between 31.3% and 53.8%.

Scope: L-valine, with a purity exceeding 95%.

EU Reference: Regulation (EU) 2026/319 (Effective: Feb 14, 2026).

Consumer Goods (Candles and Tapers)

The EU has reinstated protective duties following evidence of injury to the European chemical industry.

Duty Rates: Average rate of 56.7%, with peaks of 60.3% for non-listed entities.

Scope: Candles, tapers, and similar articles (paraffin and stearin).

EU Reference: Regulation (EU) 2026/157 (Effective: Jan 26, 2026).

Asian Logistics Advisory: EU TARIC Codes

To qualify for the reduced duty rates reserved for certified producers, it is mandatory to correctly declare the Additional TARIC Code on the EU customs declaration. An incomplete or incorrect filing will result in the immediate application of the maximum duty (up to 90%) by EU Customs.
