These updates were published in the Official Journal of the European Union on October 31, 2024, and are effective from January 1, 2025.
To ensure compliance with the new regulations, businesses must verify and update the customs codes used in their import and export operations.
For more details, refer to Implementing Regulation (EU) No. 2024/2522 of the European Commission, dated September 23, 2024, which amends Annex I of Regulation (EEC) No. 2658/87 on the tariff and statistical nomenclature and the Common Customs Tariff.
For businesses involved in international transportation, it is crucial to update the customs codes and ensure that import and export documentation is compliant with the new regulations. Failure to promptly adjust to these changes could lead to delays or penalties in customs operations.
